What did you do at the garden today? At the garden today, I pulled most of the weeds out of my bed because it had become really overwhelming. I, also, planted some Little Gems Lettuce in my bed and pulled a few of my kale plants to make room because the squirrels got to the kale. Caesar and I had to pull the tomato transplant we had planted last week because it just wasn't growing. And lastly, I fed the chickens our kale that we had pulled.

What did you do in the garden today? At the garden, I checked on my kale, cabbage, and radishes to make sure that the squirrels didn't get to them. I also transplanted a tomato bush in my bed with Caesar, which is really exciting because I think my group is planning on using little cherry tomatoes for our exhibition dish. Finally, I continued to pull weeds and grasses from my bed because a lot had grown back.

What did you do in the garden today? At the garden, I continued to remove the weeds from my bed and cleaned up the walking path next to it. I found this really relaxing and fun because I can tend to get really OCD about things being neat and tidy, so raking the walking path was extremely satisfying. Continually, we all got a demo on how to transplant kale from the pods in the greenhouse to our garden beds. Caesar and I planted a total of 7-8 kale sprouts in our bed, the picture below is one of the sprouts after being planted in the ground. Once we finished, we had to cover the kale with a tarp in order to ensure that the squirrels and other animals wouldn't eat the food.
